Evernote Templates: My Daily Communication Tracker

Selargius I have been tracking my communications in Evernote for 5 years now. I can’t imagine not using my Communication Tracker template.
It is so hard to remember who I contacted, when I contacted them, why I contacted them, and what the status of the communication is. If the communication is time sensitive, I use the Evernote reminder tool to remind me to follow up (ex: client asks me to touch base with them next week Wednesday…I set a reminder for next Wednesday to follow up).
Now all communications are consolidated and logged in one area. No more sticky notes, writing on loose pieces of paper, or writing on your hand (I know some of you do that…I saw you do it!) ;-).
I log communications entries on a monthly basis and then use the merge tool to merge a year (12 months = 12 notes) worth of logs into one note, making it a handy archived tool to search for previous communications when needed. The merge tool will automatically display all 12 months by each note’s title. So it is important to name your monthly communication tracker notes with the Month in the title – Ex: 2018 – Daily Communication Log – 04/1/18 – 04/30/18 -or- 2018 – Daily Communication Log – April).
Good news, if you have taken one of my Evernote classes, you have access to my Communication Tracker template in my Shared Templates Notebook. (You all should have joined that Notebook…if you didn’t let me know and I will share that link again.) That’s right, you can use it to track your own communications.
Do yourself a favor, make it a habit to use this tool. Your contacts will be amazed how efficient you are with your communications, and you will be amazed at the results you’ll get when you are in control of all your communications (phone, text, email, Linkedin, Work Chat, Facebook, Twitter, etc.)
